A few months late, but worth waiting for:

As a result of our visit to Bruker GmbH, we have reentered the world of high resolution NMR. Below please find two figures arising from our new NMR pulse sequences and processing software. Some of the 1 dimensional work is already published in Diffusion fundamentals (  http://www.uni-leipzig.de/diffusion/pdf/volume15/diff_fund_15(2011)6.pdf ). The other publication which introduces the rapid DOSY and Q-ROSY  2-dimensional experiments will be out soon!

The data processing in our 2D-softwarse is probably the fastest there is, an 8192*16 dataset is processed in 0.75 seconds!!!

The spoiler recovery sequence: One of the benefits from having demanding and dedicated customers, is that we have to be in the frontier on developing new application and NMR experiments: As one of our customer wanted to study the dynamic of an unstable system with rather low signal to noise ratio, we needed a method that bypassed the need for waiting 5 times the longitudinal relaxation time delay between each scan. The use of RF saturation was not an option due to poor signal to noise, and this led us to the development of the so-called spoiler recovery sequence, which aims at spoil all magnetisation in any direction before we let a large portion of the signal recover, and we then can run the ordinary NMR experiments without bothering about waiting 5 times longitudinal relaxation decay between each scan. This method applies on any sequence that can be run by PFG-NMR equipment. Below please find two recordings of the diffusion in water, either by the conventional technique or our unique spoiler recovery method:

The data in the figure above are acquired with low field bench top system (0.5 Tesla), but we achieved the same linearity on high field superconducting systems.

After more than a decade in developing software applications dedicated to low field NMR instruments, we have gathered enough expertise to provide a complete package for our customers, whether it is software only for processing NMR data or it is a low field NMR instrumentation together with dedicated applications and software packages. On our product pages we now launch our products that are available from the 1st of June 2011. Our products are currently not for mass production, even though some of them could be well suited for such. Primarily we aim at producing tailor made system/application/software for the dedicated customer!

We also would like to thank Innovasjon Norge and their co-partners for the assistance and funding we have received over the past decade!
